What protects you on the site
- A nickname, not a name. Your email and phone are never shown to anyone.
- Private photos. Mark a photo as private - it opens only for someone who asked and whom you approved, and you can take access back at any time.
- No hidden details in photos. Location and the other details phones store in photos are removed from every upload.
- Hide your profile. In Settings you can hide your profile: you don't appear in search or Discover, and existing chats go on.
- Payment under a neutral name. PayPal and your statement show the name topishare, with no mention of SexPal or of dating.
- Notifications without content. Emails and notifications about a new message don't include the message text.
And what's up to you
A photo without your face at first. Start with a photo that doesn't identify you, and open private photos only once there is trust.
Few identifying details. Full name, workplace and phone number - only when you feel comfortable. Chatting on the site is enough until then.
A neutral meeting place. A café or bar outside your neighbourhood lowers the chance of running into people you know.
Safety and health
- First meeting in a public place. A café or a bar, and only later, if you both want, somewhere private.
- Tell a friend where you are and with whom, and agree on a short message when all is well.
- Get there and back on your own, so you can leave at any moment.
- Condoms, always. They are the main protection against STIs - carry your own, not only the other side. If you have several partners, get tested regularly.
- Discretion goes both ways. Don't send identifying photos before you trust the other person, and protect their privacy as you would want yours protected.
- Trust your gut. If something in the chat or the meeting doesn't feel right - pressure, stories that don't add up, a request for money - leave. No explanation needed.
Questions about Discreet dating
Can anyone find out I'm on the site?
Only people browsing the site who see your profile - under a nickname, without email or phone. If you don't want to appear at all, you can hide your profile in Settings.
What shows on my statement?
The name topishare, with no mention of SexPal or of dating. Payment is through PayPal.
Can I delete everything?
Yes. In Settings, "Close account": your profile comes off the site and off Google.
Does dating on SexPal stay discreet?
