We want everyone to be able to use the site, including people with disabilities. The site is built to the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 level AA.
What we did
- The site works with the keyboard alone, and every page starts with a "Skip to content" link.
- A clear outline shows where the keyboard focus is.
- Headings are in order and every page declares its language and direction, so screen readers read it correctly.
- Every form field has a label, and error messages are announced.
- Images have text alternatives.
- Text has enough contrast against its background.
- Text can be zoomed to 200% without losing content, and the site adapts to phone screens.
- Nothing flashes and no sound plays by itself.
What is not accessible yet
- Profile photos uploaded by members do not have a description of what they show.
- The blog (/sex_blog/) and the jokes blog (/best_sex_jokes/) are separate systems that have not been fully checked yet.
